The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) provides funding and oversight for Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waivers, includes determining eligibility, providing service coordination for eligible people, monitoring services, and paying providers. DDD also oversees programs for people who have special health care needs and includes the State Unit on Aging and Medicaid State Review Team.

Public Comment Period - Ended January 5, 2026

DHHS plans to renew the 1915(c) Medicaid Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Aged and Adult and Children with Disabilities Waiver (NE.0187) and amend the Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver (NE.40199). For more information, go to the DDD Public Comment page.

The 30-day public comment period was from December 5, 2025, through January 5, 2026.
