The Alzheimer's Disease and Other Dementia Advisory Council was created through state statute (§ 71-561 to 567) to examine (a) the needs of individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other dementia, (b) the services available in the state for those individuals and their family caregivers, and (c) the ability of health care providers and facilities to meet the current and future needs of such individuals. The Council is made up of twelve voting members appointed by the Governor and five non-voting members. The voting members of the council serve a term of four years. A voting member may be reappointed to one additional term of four years.
