​​Welcome to the Nebraska WIC Program home page. We provide healthy food at no cost, breastfeeding support, nutrition information, and referrals to about 36,000 people across the state each month. This page provides access to information about WIC for the public, WIC families, WIC Vendor Retailers, Health Care Providers, and Local Agency WIC Staff.


Participant Alert - WIC & Medicaid!

Starting on September 1st, infants and children enrolled in WIC AND Medicaid will receive specialty formula prescribed by their medical provider from Nebraska Medicaid. Public Comment for the Nebraska State WIC Plan

​The Department of Health & Human Services annually prepares a State Plan operation of the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). The Department is currently in the process of developing the plan for the period of October 1, 2026 to Sept 30, 2027 and the public is encouraged to provide input. Please provide comments by July 31.
