Developmental Disabilities Division Director Tony Green to Host State-Wide Town Hall Listening Tour

Lincoln – Tony Green, DHHS's Director for the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DD) has announced his annual statewide “Let's Talk" Town Hall Listening Tour beginning on October 14th in eight locations throughout the state.

DD supports nearly 11,000 Nebraskans with developmental and intellectual disabilities (IDD) as well as the aging and disabled population. Individuals and their families who receive these services or are interested in learning more are encouraged to attend.

“DD is committed to providing the best community-based services possible throughout the state," said Director Tony Green. “To accomplish this goal, it's extremely important to get into the community and listen firsthand to the people we serve about their ideas and concerns."

Director Green will also provide updates regarding improvements the division has made during the past year.

The in-person “Let's Talk" Town Halls will take place:

  • Thursday, October 14, Norfolk: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. CT.  Conference Room 110, 209 North 5th St, Norfolk, NE 68701 

  • Monday, October 18, Beatrice: 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. CT. Beatrice Public Library, 100 N 16th St, Beatrice, NE 68310
