DHHS Division of Developmental Disabilities Announces Let’s Talk Listening Tour

Lincoln – Director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), Tony Green, with the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) have announced a multi-city Let's Talk Listening Tour focused on the elimination of the Developmental Disabilities (DD) Waiting List.

Director Green plans to visit five locations across Nebraska and host one virtual session.   

“The intent of eliminating the waiting list is to allow individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families access resources at the time they are determined eligible," said Green. “The listening tour will allow community members and key stakeholders to share valuable insights to better enhance our services and supports."

All who have interest in learning more about the elimination of the DD Waiting List are welcome and encouraged to attend.

The FIVE tour stops for the Let's Talk Listening Tour are as follows:

  • Monday, April 22, 2024 Gering: 6:00-8:00 PM Gering Civic Center, Wildcat Room, 1050 M St, Gering, NE 69341 
  • Tuesday, April 23, 2024 Kearney: 6:00–8:00 PM Holiday Inn Hotel & Convention Center – Stateroom C, 110 Second Ave, Kearney, NE 68848
     
  • Wednesday, April 24, 2024 Omaha6:00-8:00 PM Douglas Conference Center, Omaha State Office Building, 1313 Farnam, Omaha, NE 68102
     
  • Wednesday, May 8, 2024 Lincoln: 6:00-8:00 PM Holiday Inn Lincoln Southwest, Folsom and Lincoln Rooms, 2500 Tamarin Ridge Rd, Lincoln, NE 68512
     
  • Thursday, May 9, 2024 Norfolk: 6:00-8:00 PM Lifelong Learning Center, Suites E&H, 701 E Benjamin Ave, Norfolk, NE 68701
