The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) serves as many eligible people as possible, while ensuring their health and safety. DDD determines eligibility, provides service coordination for eligible people, monitors services, and pays providers. Services are provided through Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waivers, Special Health Care Needs programs, and State Unit on Aging programs.

Waivers Submitted to CMS
On March 31, 2026, DHHS submitted waivers to CMS:
- Aged and Adult and Children with Disabilities (NE.0187) Waiver and Traumatic Brain Injury Waiver (NE.40199).
- Comprehensive Developmental Disabilities Services (NE.4154) Waiver and Developmental Disabilities Day Services Waiver for Adults (NE.0394).
