​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Department of Health and Human Services assists with many aspects of Emergency Medical Services (EMS). Some of the services are EMS Licensing, training and technical assistance, EMS Assessments, Emergency Medical Services for Children and more.

EMS Ambulance and Equipment ARPA Grant Funding Information

Funds made available through the American Rescue Plan Act have been allocated for Nebraska Licensed Emergency Medical Service agencies to apply for that will assist with the purchase of ambulances and medical equipment.

EMS COVID-19 Resources

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus—severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). This new virus and disease were unknown before the outbreak began in China, in December 2019.  Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses which may cause illness in animals or humans. In humans, several coronaviruses are known to cause respiratory infections ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS).
