WIC Texting in Nebraska Hits a Milestone
9/14/26 - Lincoln, NE - The WIC State Office reports that its texting project has achieved a milestone of 1,000,000 text messages sent! We are very proud of the accomplishment. Thank you for your collaboration, feedback, and dedication to ensuring WIC texting is useful and effective in clinic operations and for our participants. We started with WIC texting in September 2023 and achieved statewide implementation by June of the following year. Along the way, there have been numerous project meetings, campaign development and testing activities, orientation sessions with local agency partners, collaboration on translations, message troubleshooting, enhancements to campaigns and more. It's been a long road and there is still more to do. Thank you, WIC Clinic staff for remaining dedicated to serving participants and families while texting was integrated into your workday "without-missing-a-beat". So glad you're here and haven't "opted out". Now let's send a million more texts!
