- PCIT International Therapist Training - Mar. 2-4, 8am-5pm (See website for more dates and details) Registration closing soon.
- This clinical workshop serves as an introductory training for Nebraska mental health providers who are interested in becoming PCIT International Therapists. Training takes place in Lincoln, NE.
- FAN Awareness Webinar - Mar. 3, 9am-10am
- This is a 1-hour overview on the Facilitating Attuned Interactions (FAN) model for reflective practice. FREE to attend. Open to all professionals.
- IECMH Services in Nebraska Overview - Mar. 4, 12pm-1pm
- This 1-hour webinar will present an overview of IECMH services offered in Nebraska: CPP, PCIT, EMDR, and COS™-P. FREE to attend. Open to all professionals.
- Youth Mental Health First Aid Training - Mar. 9, 9am-4pm
- The National Council for Mental Wellbeing teaches a 5-step action plan to offer initial help to young people showing signs of a mental illness or crisis, and connect them with the appropriate professional, peer, social, or self help care. This course is designed for adults who work with young people, ages 12-18 - teachers, coaches, leaders of faith communities, social workers, and other caring citizens. FREE to attend. - DC:0-5™ Virtual Clinical Training - Mar. 16-18, 9am-1pm
- This clinical training is designed for advanced Nebraska mental health clinicians whose work with infants, young children, and their families involves expert assessment, diagnosis, and case formulation. Training will be held virtually.

- Reflective Practice FAN Training Program - See website for dates and more details
- FAN Training is an 8-month program on the Facilitating Attuned Interaction (FAN) model of reflective practice designed to help professionals improve their interactions with others through attunement. This training is open to the public and all training components will be held virtually.

- This webinar will provide a basic overview of child abuse and neglect, go over Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), and discuss protective factors.

- This webinar will detail the Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services' (DHHS) child welfare prevention infrastructure in Nebraska.
- Impact of Stress, Neglect, & Trauma on Infant & Toddler Development - April 24, 9am-3pm
- Dr. Mark Hald will present an overview of the impact and long-term effects of toxic stress on brain development. This in-person training will also discuss social-emotional assessment tools, IFSP/IEP interventions, and how to recognize developmental impacts on the infant/toddler. FREE to attend. - Overview of the Children's Nebraska Advocacy Team - May 18, 12pm-1pm
- This presentation will provide an inside look at how Children's Nebraska plays a role in prevention and ongoing coordination regarding child abuse/neglect.
Foster Parent TrainingFamilies Forever is our post-adoption/guardianship service through Nebraska Children's Home Society (NCHS). These trainings are located across the state and are online and in-person trainings. They are free for our adoptive parents, guardians, and DHHS workers, other professionals are asked to pay $25 per session.
National Adoption Competency Training (National Training Initiative)
The Contractor will share their skills and knowledge obtained from their adoption training to support and educate foster parents in their journey to help youth placed in their care obtain permanency. Ongoing training support topics will include:
- Understanding and addressing mental health needs of children moving towards or having achieved permanency through adoption or guardianship;
- Enhancing Attachment and Bonding for Children Moving Towards / Having Achieved Permanence through Adoption and Guardianship;
- The Impact of Loss and Grief Experience on Children's Mental Health;
- The Impact of Early and Ongoing Trauma on Child and Family Development, Brain Growth and Development, and Mental Health;
- Positive Identity Formation and the Impact of Adoption and Guardianship;
- Maintaining Children's Stability and Well-being in Adoptive and Guardianship Families; and
- Promote and assist youth in the transition into adulthood.

Defensive driving course as sanctioned by the Nebraska Safety Council or similar agency before driving on behalf of the Contractor and transporting children and families for this Contract.

Mandatory Reporter Training
We are excited to share the newly released DHHS Mandatory Reporter Training. This training is intended for all community members, professional reporters, staff, and overall stakeholders. The link includes the We Care framework as well, which is a 7-minute video to give the vision of the consideration of reporting. The link to the full training is very engaging, interactive, and will take about 1.5 hours. There is a completion certification at the end. Thank you to the Hotline and CFS Learning and Development team for putting this together!
