The Nebraska State Plan on Aging outlines goals, objectives, and measures, for aging services for a four-year period. The plan serves as the agreement between the Department and the Administration for Community Living, to provide aging services in Nebraska, funded by federal grants and state appropriations. The current state plan covers October 1, 2023, through September 30, 2027.
For the current State Plan on Aging (FFY 2024-2027), the State Unit on Aging (SUA) engaged the University of Nebraska—Omaha, Department of Gerontology, College of Public Affairs and Community Service to conduct listening sessions and surveys in 2022. The SUA also surveyed senior centers statewide.
