Third Party Partners:

  • A Partner is an organization or agency that is already offering services similar to SNAP E&T and has the revenue to support the additional workload. With the partner model, the organization or agency uses their non-federal funds to pay for allowable expenses and then submits a claim for a 50% federal reimbursement of the allowable expenses for SNAP recipients.
  • The Partner(s) will be responsible for administering the SNAP E&T program according to the approved SNAP E&T State Plan. This will include verifying the individual is on SNAP and reporting required data back to the Department of Health and Human Services. The Partner(s) will offer the same services and components that are established in the approved SNAP E&T State Plan.

Who can be a partner?

  • In general, any entity that is offering employment and training programs, or any entity that has the capacity to, and interest in providing employment and training programs should be considered as a potential partner.
  • Frequently, partners are education institutions like community colleges, vocational training centers, high school equivalency preparation centers, non-profits (libraries, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc.), or other community-based organizations.
