This web page provides researchers with information about Research Requests and the documentation required to submit a request.
A Research Request supports research which leads to improved health and human services or increases the body of knowledge about health and human services. Research must be conducted in a manner that safeguards the health, dignity, general well-being, and privacy rights of DHHS employees and the people the agency serves. Research means a systematic investigation, including research development, testing, and evaluation, designed to develop or contribute to generalizable knowledge.
Please note separate processes exist for non-research data request. Please contact the DHHS Public Records Office at DHHS.PublicRecords@nebraska.gov for assistance.
