Quitting tobacco is hard - you know that. It is common for people to try to quit several times before they finally do. But with each time you try, you learn more about what works for you and eventually you can succeed.

Only you can decide when you are ready to quit. But once you've made the decision, the Nebraska Tobacco Quitline can help you be successful.

Ways to Quit

1) Call 1-800-QUIT-NOW

Quit coaches are ready to help you at 1-800-QUIT-NOW (1-800-784-8669). Free Quitline services are available 24/7, in over 200 languages and Spanish-speaking residents can call, 1-855-DÉJELO-YA (1-855-335-3569). For qualified callers, a free supply of nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) can be mailed directly to your home. Find more information on the NRT promotion flier--available in English or Spanish.

2) Web-based Coaching

Don't want to call? That is ok, a web-based option is also available. After enrolling on the QuitNow website, a coach can be reached via the chat link to provide support when you need it.

3) In-Person Cessation Classes

Looking for something in-person? Use the list of Nebraska Cessation Programs to find the group or individualized counseling sessions near you.
