Vision: Nebraska's culturally diverse populations are as healthy as possible.

Mission: Promote and support the advancement of health equity in Nebraska using data, partnerships, funding, training and technical assistance.

Racial ethnic minorities experience health disparities. Using best practices and collaborating at the community and regional level bring multiple resources together to address the needs of racial ethnic minorities, American Indians, refugees and immigrants.  Raising awareness of disparities and health equity is accomplished through data, reports, and training, which also influences health outcomes.

Nebraska Conference on Health Equity

Along side the UNL Minority Health Disparities Initiative, we are thrilled to invite you to the Nebraska Conference on Health Equity (NECHE) on April 26 and 27, 2022, from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm CT!

The conference will be live streamed via Zoom. NECHE is a call to action on health equity in Nebraska. This conference will explore the ways that community connections and connectedness build healthier communities in Nebraska. The theme also allows us to better explore concepts that are intrinsically intertwined with connectedness such as racial injustice, mental health, health care policy and access, and so much more.

This event is free and open to the public.  All are welcome.
