eWIC Card Holder Account Registration

Register your eWIC card at www.ebtedge.com.  This will allow you to easily access your account balance and review your purchase history.

Information needed to register:

  • create a user ID
  • create a password
  • email address
  • phone number - if none, may use enter 10 zeros
  • you will also need to select and answer 3 challenge questions
  • eWIC Card Number
  • primary birth date

Set eWIC Card PIN

  • Before you can shop with the eWIC card, you must set up a four-digit PIN for your card.
  • The PIN can be set in two ways:
    • Call the automated phone line at 1 (844) 386-3151, or
    • Go online to www.ebtedge.com.
    • Know your birthdate and mailing zip code to set your pin.

What if my PIN doesn't work

  • If you forgot your PIN, or you need to change your PIN, call 1 (844) 386-3151.
  • If you entered the wrong PIN four times in a row, your PIN will be locked until midnight.
  • You may also call your WIC clinic during business hours if you need to unlock your PIN.

Report lost, stolen, damaged eWIC Card

  • If your card is lost, stolen or damaged, contact your WIC clinic or call customer service at 1 (844) 386-3151.
  • Remember to keep your card in a safe place, like your purse or wallet.
  • Keep your card away from magnets, electronics and out of sunlight.

Using the WIC Shopper APP

Steps to install the WICShopper App:

  1. Install WICShopper from your APP store.
  2. Select Nebraska as your WIC Agency.
  3. Register using the 16-digit number on the front of your eWIC Card.
  4. Scan product bard codes to identify WIC-allowed foods as you shop.
  5. View your current benefits, allowable food list, recipes, and more right from the app.

Where to Shop

WIC identified stores can be identified in the following ways:

  • Ask your local agency for a list of WIC approved stores in your area. 
  • The WICShopper App includes a list of WIC-approved stores and provides directions to the store.
  • Look for the WIC "Shop Here" sticker that is displayed in WIC-approved stores.

My eWIC Card Benefit Balance

You can check your balance in several ways.

  • Use the “My Benefits" option in the WICShopper app to view your current benefits
  • Call the automated phone line at (844) 386-3151
  • Check your last shopping receipt
  • Ask a cashier to print a WIC food benefit balance at the store before you shop
  • Go online to www.ebtedge.com

Any unused benefits will expire the last day of the month.

Checking Out

  • The cashier will scan your items. You may use coupons, store loyalty cards and discounts.
  • When the cashier tells you, swipe the eWIC card and enter the PIN. eWIC must be the FIRST payment.
  • Ask the cashier what food were bought with WIC. If there is a food you want removed, ask the cashier to remove it.
  • Complete the transaction by approving your WIC purchase and pay for any remaining balance with another form of payment. Once a WIC food has been bought, it cannot be returned to the store.
  • Keep you receipt! It has your remaining WIC food benefit balance.
