​​​​​​​​Starting May 1, 2026, members and applicants eligible under Medicaid expansion will have to meet work requirements to keep or get Medicaid coverage unless they have an exemption. One of the ways to meet work requirements is through community service or volunteering.

This webpage lists organizations in Nebraska that can help people​ find opportunities to volunteer in the community. Thank you to SHARE Omaha and United Way of the Midlands for their part in connecting people to meaningful community service opportunities.
