Individuals holding this license may practice dentistry only as a faculty member at an accredited school/college of dentistry in Nebraska. He or she may teach dentistry, conduct research, and participate in an institutionally administered faculty practice.
- Have or had within the past five years a license to practice dentistry in some other state/jurisdiction or a Canadian province
- Have a contract to be employed as a full-time faculty member at an accredited school/college of dentistry in Nebraska
- Pass a jurisprudence examination
- Agree to demonstrate continuing clinical competency
- Complete at least two years of postgraduate education at an accredited school/college
- Have a contract to be employed as a full-time faculty member at an accredited school/college of dentistry in Nebraska
- Pass a jurisprudence examination
- Agree to demonstrate continuing clinical competency
NOTE: All applicants are required to obtain a criminal background check. Also, if the applicant is going to prescribe controlled substances, he or she needs to provide proof of federal DEA registration.
Renewal:
- Licenses are renewable March 1 of odd-numbered years.
- License may be placed on Inactive Status at any time.
