Lincoln, NE – Cohort one applications for the Nebraska Rural Health Technology Catalyst Fund (NETECH) are open now through November 9, 2026. As part of the Nebraska Rural Health Transformation Program (RHTP), NETECH is designed to provide initial public funding to innovative private and public organizations working to solve rural health care delivery challenges through new technologies. By incentivizing innovation that may not otherwise occur, the initiative is expected to support economic growth, attract new investment into the state, and advance scalable solutions that directly improve outcomes for rural Nebraskans.

“Nebraska is one of only a handful of states in the nation to establish a health care‑focused catalyst fund through RHTP, which positions Nebraska as a national leader in leveraging emerging technologies to address critical health care challenges faced by rural communities," said Ashley Newmyer, DHHS Director of Public Health. “Through this program, Nebraska aims to improve access, support care delivery modernization, and create a sustainable pathway for technology‑driven solutions tailored to rural populations."

DHHS is partnering with Invest Nebraska, a Nebraska‑based venture development organization, to administer NETECH on behalf of the state. Through a structured and transparent review process, Invest Nebraska will identify, evaluate, and support health technology startups and scalable solutions aligned with Nebraska's rural health care needs.
