A dentist who holds an active dental license in another state/jurisdiction may be issued this license for the purpose of replacing a dentist who will be unavailable for a specific period of time, a public health emergency in Nebraska, or for volunteer dental services such as the Mission of Mercy Program.
Application Procedures and Requirements
Application for Permit as a Locum Tenens Dentist
Individuals must meet the following:
- Hold an active license to practice dentistry in another state/jurisdiction
- Have official documentation requesting the issuance of a dental locum tenens permit
This type of license may be issued for a period not to exceed 90 days in any 12 month period.
