Nebraska's Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program (SEBT) application is available to households of eligible students who were not previously eligible to participate in the program. The application process is simple and fast and can be completed by phone or computer in just a few minutes. Please carefully read the information below before completing an SEBT application.
Do you need to complete the SEBT application?
If any of the three items below apply to your student(s), they will receive and SEBT card and you do NOT NEED TO COMPLETE THE SEBT APPLICATION:
Option 1:
Your student received a school meals benefit approval letter for Free or Reduced-price meals in SY2023-24, your student will receive SEBT. If you are unsure of your student's status, please contact the school at which your student was enrolled in SY2023-24.
Option 1 Answer: No action needed
Option 2:
If your student received SNAP, TANF, FDPIR, or Medicaid benefits that also provided Free or Reduced-price school meal benefits, attends a National School Lunch Program participating school, and was born on or before 1/1/2017, they were issued an SEBT card in the May 28th issuance, which will be complete on or around June 12th.
Option 2 Answer: No action needed
Option 3:
If your student receives SNAP, TANF, FDPIR, or Medicaid benefits that also provided Free or Reduced-price school meal benefits, attends a National School Lunch Program participating school, and was born after 1/1/2017, please check with the school at which they were enrolled in SY2023-24 to ensure their information was provided in their data upload for SEBT.
Option 3 Answer: No action needed
