Join DHHS to Celebrate Nebraska Recovery Month

Lincoln – The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) would like to invite residents to the Nebraska Recovery Month Event and Awards Ceremony on Sunday, September 24, 2023, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the North Steps of the Nebraska State Capitol Building.

This event will be a celebration to bring organizations and community members from across Nebraska together to celebrate the journey of recovery. It takes bravery and support to face the challenges throughout a journey of recovery. It is a time to recognize and thank our first responders, healthcare workers, peer recovery support professionals, counselors, addiction specialists, behavioral health and primary care providers, community organizations and non-profits, family members, and everyone else who works tirelessly to support our fellow Nebraskans at every step in their recovery journey.
