Beginning July 1, many Medicaid providers will see payment rate increases. Behavioral health providers will see a 4% rate increase and other services will see a 2% rate increases, per state law.
Nebraska Medicaid Heritage Health Plans (Nebraska Total Care, United Healthcare, WellCare of Nebraska) and the dental benefit manager (MCNA) expect to implement these rate increases by August 31. All claims with a date of service on or after July 1, both managed care and fee-for-service, will be paid retroactively at these new rates.
In addition to standard percent based rate increases, nursing facilities received an additional, one-time $7.4 million appropriation increase that has been included in the rates.
