The Office of Consumer Affairs leads the Division of Behavioral Health's support of recovery. Consumers are active in serving on multiple committees and participating in annual surveys.

The Division of Behavioral Health Office of Consumer Affairs is pleased to announce release of the 2019 Peer Support Services Certification Guidelines for the training and testing of applicants to become Nebraska Certified Peer Support Specialists (CPSS). These guidelines allow for individuals across Nebraska seeking peer certification to move forward with the training, testing and certification process. The Guidelines also allow Peer Support Core Curriculum trainers to submit their curriculum content for approval.

The Office of Consumer Affairs Peoples Council is now accepting applications for council members. Select the Peoples Council tile to learn more about the Peoples Council, find the application to submit for consideration as a Peoples Council Member, and to review the Peoples Council charter that more thoroughly explains requirements and additional details on being a member of the council.
