Lincoln – The Eligibility and Enrollment Unit in the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) at the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is excited to announce its Eligibility and Enrollment Unit Listening Sessions. DHHS is committed to providing excellent and quality services to the people of Nebraska. These listening sessions are designed to help streamline the process for individuals seeking services provided by DDD.

“Nearly 12,000 Nebraskans who are aging and/or experiencing a disability are receiving long-term support through one of our Waiver programs", Developmental Disabilities Division Director Tony Green said, “This is an opportunity for our Nebraskan stakeholders to learn more about navigating the waiver enrollment and eligibility process for individuals seeking our services."

DDD currently operates and oversees four Home and Community-Based Service Waivers: Aged, Adults, and Children with Disabilities (AD); Comprehensive Developmental Disabilities (CDD), Developmental Disabilities Day Services for Adults (DDAD); and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI).

The Eligibility and Enrollment Unit is dedicated to providing education and resources to individuals with disabilities and caregivers on how to navigate the waiver enrollment and eligibility process. The Eligibility and Enrollment Unit also wants to engage with stakeholders across Nebraska to ensure the needs of all Nebraskans are met.

Any individual who would like to learn more about the Home and Community-Based Service Waivers for the developmentally disabled, aged and disabled, and traumatic brain injury, is encouraged to attend.

There will be four listening sessions via Zoom:
