Lincoln, Neb. – Today the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) updated the state's COVID-19 Vaccination dashboard. Launched the first week of January, the dashboard shows how Nebraska's COVID-19 vaccination effort is progressing over time.

The primary change is to the dashboard's overview tab, which now reports the status of various vaccine distribution efforts in the state.

The two columns shown track the administration of doses allocated by DHHS to Nebraska's local health departments, and doses allocated to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Federal Pharmacy Program, which contracted pharmacy staff to administer COVID-19 vaccine to residents and staff at long-term care facilities across the state.

The overview tab also reports on vaccine uptake with the number and percentage of first and second doses administered for each program, and a summary of all doses received in the state to date.

Allocation totals are updated weekly, and doses administered is reported daily.

As of Monday, 70,867 Nebraskans have completed vaccination between the two vaccination efforts, which represents 4.8% of Nebraskans aged 16 or older. Thus far, COVID-19 vaccines have only been approved for use in those age 16 and older.

A third column will be added in the coming weeks as the CDC launches a Retail Pharmacy Program in Nebraska.

The total number of first and second dose vaccinations given each day in the state has been moved to a new daily vaccinations tab.

The dashboard also provides a breakdown of doses given by age, gender, race, and ethnicity, as well as a timeline for COVID-19 vaccine rollout in Nebraska showing the phases and priority groups as reflected in the state's COVID-19 vaccination plan. Priority groups and timing projections remain tentative and will be adjusted as new federal recommendations are issued and as vaccine shipments are scheduled.

The vaccination dashboard is updated each morning with data from the prior day.
