The National Core Indicators (NCI) project is an effort by public DD agencies to measure and track performance. NCI is a collaboration between the National Association of State DD Directors and the Human Services Research Institute.
NCI offers an introduction video to explain surveys, who can participate, and how the information is used.
DDD began participating in NCI for the 2016-17 survey.
Staff Stability Survey
This survey compares Nebraska's workforce data to other states. DHHS can measure improvements made by policy or programmatic changes. The online survey is filled out yearly by direct support employees of agency providers who serve adult participants.
Adult In-Person Survey
This survey assesses the quality of life for adult participants. The survey used to be called the Adult Consumer Survey.
DDD partners with the University of Nebraska Medical Center, Munroe-Meyer Institute (MMI) to conduct this survey with randomly selected participants.
If you are an adult participant, or someone in your family receives services, you may be contacted.
NCI Reports
The NCI website has current reports, as well as reports dating back to 2005, on both national and state levels. You can view all Nebraska reports there.
