Birth Defects Registration Partners

This page is for all healthcare facility personnel responsible for reporting birth defects occurring in the state of Nebraska. The links below provide access to the resources and information necessary to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of birth defect occurrences.

The reportable birth defect codes include all ICD-10 “Q" codes (congenital malformations, deformations, and chromosomal abnormalities: Q00-Q99), as well as the following additional codes:

• “D" Codes: D18.00-D18.09, D18.1, D82.1
• “E" Codes: E25.0-E25.9, E78.71-E78.72
• “G" Codes: G12.0, G90.1
• “M" Codes: M21.021-M21.029, M21.121-M21.129, M26.00-M26.09
  
• “P" Codes: P29.3, P35.1, P35.4
