The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on the amendment and repeal of the following regulations:

The following regulations are proposed for AMENDMENT

Title 465 NAC 4Petitioning for Rule Making

The proposed changes update title and chapter name; add the regulations scope and authority; remove redundant and duplicative language from the regulations; update formatting; and adopt the Nebraska Attorney General's model rules for rule making.  These model rules can be found in Title 53 of the Nebraska Administrative Code. 

The following regulations are proposed for REPEAL in their entirety:

Title 184 NAC 3Rules of Practice and Procedure of the Department of Health for Petitions
                               for Promulgation, Amendment, or Repeal of Regulations

The regulations are proposed for repeal in their entirety to reduce redundancy and unnecessary regulations.

The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 477, Chapter 29 of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC) – Heritage Health Adult Program.  The proposed changes update the postpartum coverage period from 60 days to an extended 12-month period for Nebraska Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), regardless of changes in circumstances; remove unnecessary language; update acronyms; and correct typographical errors.

The purpose of this hearing is to receive comments on proposed changes to Title 477, Chapter 19 of the Nebraska Administrative Code (NAC) – Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI)-Based Programs.  The proposed changes update the continuous eligibility period from six months to 12 months for children who are under the age of 19 who are eligible for Nebraska Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance program (CHIP) in Nebraska.  Additional proposed changes include adding clarification language; updating terminology and acronyms; removing unnecessary language; and correcting typographical and punctuation errors.
