Lincoln – The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) launched two new features on the iServe Nebraska Portal to improve accessibility for Medicaid renewals and Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver applications. This is part of the Department's benefits application system transition from ACCESSNebraska to the new self-service portal, iServe Nebraska.

The new features are designed to help Nebraskans:

  • Renew Medicaid benefits online for the upcoming year.
  • Apply for all five HCBS Waivers online.
  • Update contact information.
  • Manage benefits, services, and supports in one centralized location.

“Identifying opportunities for streamlined access to services is a commitment we make to all in need of support," Tony Green, Director of the Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) stated, “The iServe portal improvement to applications and renewals is just one measure we are taking to actively reduce barriers to individuals in need of help, improve our efficiencies, and create a more user-friendly tool."

HCBS waivers offered through DDD include Aged and Disabled (AD) Waiver; Family Support Waiver (FSW), Comprehensive Developmental Disabilities (CDD) Waiver, Developmental Disabilities Adult Day (DDAD) Waiver; and the Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) Waiver.
