Lincoln – The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is relocating the Columbus, Nebraska, offices located at 2365 39th Avenue, to the same building where both Nelnet and Bomgaar's are located, at 3737 25th Street. The process will begin this week on Thursday, August 19.
These local Columbus DHHS offices includes staff for all divisions, namely Behavioral Health, Children and Family Services, Developmental Disabilities, Medicaid & Long-Term Care, and Public Health.
These Columbus offices will continue to operate during the move with no disruption of services, with the exception of this Friday afternoon, August 20, from 12 pm (noon) to 5 pm., when the office will be closed. DHHS teammates will be available at the current location until that time. The phone number (402) 564-1113 will remain the same.
On Monday, August 23, at 8 a.m. the new office will be open and available to the public.
