| The purpose of the New Dimensions of Health for Nebraska Women Partnership is to bring organizations and individuals interested in women's health together to build a sustainable infrastructure for improved, expanded women’s health services. The Partnership capitalizes on new opportunities to build comprehensive local public health services and to serve the needs of an increasingly diverse population. |

 Planning sessions were convened within and outside of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services throughout 2003.
One result of those planning sessions was the identification not only of universal and important women's health issues in Nebraska, but also strategies to address those issues in the short-term and in the long-term. The issues and strategies have been integrated into the Women's Health Plan, which was ratified by the Women's Health Advisory Council and the New Dimensions Partnership. |
| The Plan and supporting documents were published on November 4, 2004. Also on that date, a meeting was held, bringing together both planning groups - from within and outside of the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. Members of the Women's Health Advisory Council also participated. |
Opportunities to participate in the New Dimensions activities
Group 1: Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services, including interpretation and translation.
Group 2: Communication (especially within DHHS programs) to provide better coordination of common goals and priorities.
Group 3: Campaign to help women advocate for high quality health care.
We are currently looking for partners to work on these and other projects.
