Almost no one starts smoking after age 25. Nearly 9 out of 10 smokers started by age 18 and 99% started by age 26.1
If youth and young adults can be stopped from taking that first puff or dip of tobacco, their chances of living a tobacco free life increase tremendously.
Nebraska also prohibits the sale of tobacco products to youth under the age of 18.
