2013 Nebraska Radon Poster Contest Details
As an effort to raise radon awareness across the state, the Nebraska Radon Program holds a statewide radon poster contest for children ages 9-14 years. Children with the top three posters will receive a state prize and will be sent to the National Radon Poster Contest, where the top four winners will receive gift cards between $400-$1000 and national recognition.
Contest Rules
Children ages 9-14 are eligible. Entrants can be enrolled in a public, private, territorial, tribal, DoD, or home school—or through a sponsoring club, such as an art, computer, or science club; scouting organization; or 4-H club. Posters should follow one of the following topics:

1. What is radon?
2. Where does radon come from?
3. How does radon get into our homes?
4. Radon can cause lung cancer.
5. Test your home for radon.
