Public Hearing for
Title 180 NAC (Nebraska Regulations for "Control of Radiation")

The Department of Health and Humans Services, Division of Public Health is holding a public hearing on March 1, 2012 to accept comments on the proposed changes to regulations for Control of Radiation in Title 180 NAC, Chapters 1-4, 7, 10, 13, 15 and 21. A copy of the 
Notice of Public Hearing that appeared in the Lincoln Journal Star on January 30, 2012 is attached. Below are the proposed changes to each Chapter.
180 NAC 1 General Provisions
180 NAC 2 Registration of Radiation Generating Equipment Facilities and Services
180 NAC 3 Licensing of Radioactive Material
180 NAC 4 Standards for Protection Against Radiation
180 NAC 7 Medical Use of Radioactive Material
180 NAC 10 Notices, Instructions and Reports to Workers: Inspections
180 NAC 13 Transportation of Radioactive Material
180 NAC 15 Training and Experience Requirements for Use of Radiation Sources
180 NAC 21 Dental Radiographic Equipment
The draft regulations will also be available online 3 weeks before the hearing at the Secretary of State website.

X-ray Registrants: 1, 2, 4, 10 & 15
Dental Registrants: 21
