There are two Mothers' Rooms located in the Nebraska State Office Building, one in the Department of Health and Human Services (3rd floor), and the other in the Department of Administrative Services (Lower Level). Employer support of nursing mothers can significantly help mothers balance the demand of work with their desire to continue to breastfeed their infant. Both employees and employers benefit from worksite breastfeeding programs: Reduced sick time for women that breastfeed because their infants are more resistant to illness. Lower health care costs associated with healthier breastfed infants. Higher job productivity, employee satisfaction, and morale.
