Maternal and Infant Health

Helping people live better lives by…
Promoting healthy pregnancy and optimal infant health in Nebraska.

We do this by….
  • Delivering evidence-based educational events and resources to health care and community providers in order to advance quality practices in maternal and infant care.
  • Providing resources to and for the public on maternal infant health and safety topics; and
  • Facilitating collaboration and strategic approaches among stakeholders to improve maternal infant health outcomes in Nebraska.
Mom and baby

Our vision of maternal infant health encompasses a woman's lifespan from preconception through pregnancy, postpartum and interconception (the period of time between pregnancies), and the health and development of her offspring through the first year of life.
