What does being certified mean?
A certificate of competency means that an individual has attended an operator’s class and has passed the class exam.

Why should I be certified?
Nebraska regulations, Title 178 NAC 2, Operation and Management of Public Swimming Pools requires Class A swimming pools to be under the direct and immediate supervision of a certified individual and all Class B and F pools to be supervised by a certified individual who is available within 60 minutes and who is responsible for compliance with the regulations.

What is the cost?
Fees:  $40.00 for NDHHS classes and $60.00 for LLCHD classes.  Payment is required the day of the class.  You will not be allowed to take for the exam unless payment is made the day of the class. We cannot accept credit card payments.  Payment must be made by check or cash.

What if I fail the exam?
You may retake the exam at a later date, but it is treated as a new test and must be accompanied by the appropriate fee.
