Examination Requirements
In order to be licensed in Nebraska, Veterinary Technicians must pass the Veterinary Technician National Examination (VTNE).
The VTNE is given in Lincoln, Nebraska. In order to take the examination in Nebraska you need to apply with the American Association of Veterinary State Boards.
The Nebraska Board of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery no longer processes applications for the VTNE.
The deadline for receipt of applications for the VTNE is April 6, 2009, for the June 19, 2009 examination.

If you already took the Examination in Nebraska, the scores are already on file in our office and do not need to be sent to us. |
