They can prescribe and furnish medicine for these conditions, or treat the conditions with surgery.
Physicians and Surgeons are authorized to practice medicine and surgery as defined by Neb. Rev. Stat. 38-2024. Anyone practicing medicine and surgery in this state and not specially excepted by Neb. Rev. Stat. 38-2025 must be licensed in Nebraska as either a Physician (M.D. – Doctor of Medicine) or as an Osteopathic Physician and Surgeon (D.O. – Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine).
Physicians and surgeons are licensed by either "examination" or "reciprocity". These terms are specific to this state, so please read the definitions of each at Examinations. |
