ICF/ID is defined in State Statute as a facility where shelter, food and training or habilitation services, advice, counseling, diagnosis, treatment, care, nursing care, or related services are provided for a period of more than 24 consecutive hours to four or more persons residing at the facility who have intellectual disability or related conditions, including epilepsy, cerebral palsy, or other developmental disabilities.
Licensure means: The Department has issued a license to operate an ICF/ID facility in the State of Nebraska to an individual, government, corporation, partnership, limited liability company, or other form of business operation that is legally responsible for the facility's operation.
Certification means: The facility is in compliance with the federal requirements ( 42 CFR SubPart I 483.410 - 483.480) and is eligible to receive payment under the Medicaid program. The facility must have a license in order to be certified for the Medicaid Program.
