Mental Health Center

A licensed Mental Health Center means a facility where shelter, food, and counseling, diagnosis, treatment, care, or related services are provided for a period of more than twenty-four consecutive hours to persons residing at such facility who have a mental disease, disorder, or disability.

Licensing does not apply to:
  • Self-run programs
  • A home, apartment or facility which does not exercise minimum supervision over the personal care, activities of daily living or health maintenance of clients.
