Funding Opportunities Schedule of Events
- Response to Opportunity to Contract Due: No later than September 26, 2011

| 1. Community Based Awareness Education Campaign |

Selection of one or more strategies to implement for the months of September 2011 - June 2012 to increase the awareness of the need and timing for colon cancer screening. Project Details: Develop and implement a Colon Cancer Awareness and Education Campaign in order to increase awareness on the importance of colon cancer screening while driving the target audiences through proper screening channels that are in place within the community.
One or more of the materials listed below can be used throughout the campaign. Most of the materials listed can be altered to include your coalition name/logo, etc. Materials to be used have been approved and are as follows:

2012 National Dialogue for Action on Colorectal Cancer Funding may be used to attend the 2012 National Dialogue for Action on Colorectal Cancer. This annual national conference brings together a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, health educators and colon cancer survivors. Conference participants walk away with tools and strategies of how to reduce colon cancer in their communities. | 2. Community Based FOBT Screening Program |
Availability: September 2011 - June 30, 2012 Amount: up to $50,000, at a cost of $5 per kit distributed, to be divided among recipients of contract funding Implementation of Community Based FOBT Distribution Program This funding is to help implement a community based FOBT screening program for coalitions. Coalitions must fill out and have an approved Community Based FOBT Screening Plan (Form D). See letter of intent for allowable activities and expenses.
