Nebraska ABLES Program
Overview
Nebraska administers an Adult Blood Lead Epidemiology and Surveillance (ABLES) Program. The Nebraska ABLES program tracks all adult blood lead tests performed in state. Adult blood lead testing data from Nebraska are reported to the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH).
NIOSH uses the data to help determine the current burden of adult lead poisoning and what trends are occurring. For more information visit the CDC ABLES website.
Surveillance Data
CDC’s NIOSH posts national as well as Nebraska-specific adult lead poisoning data on their website.
