ListsLibraries Oral Health Media Home Reports and Data Watch Your Mouth Campaign Kids Table Educational Resources Home Subscribe to this page Nebraska State Oral Health Assessment Report - 2016 Oral Health Fact Sheet 2017 Since 1949, the Nebraska DHHS Office of Oral Health and Dentistry (OOHD) has worked to improve the wellbeing of all Nebraskans by promoting oral health through educational campaigns, increasing access to preventive services and reducing barriers to dental care. We assist federal, state and community programs to perform essential public oral health functions. These projects are facilitated through: Local Public Health Departments Federally Qualified Health Centers UNMC College of Dentistry Creighton School of Dentistry UNMC College of Public Health Free and Charitable Clinics Nebraska Dental Association Nebraska Dental Hygiene Association The OOHD is a member of the Association of State and Territorial Dental Directors who coordinate all state oral health programs in the United States through dental surveillance, policy development and community education. They help states align with CDC's "Healthy People 2020" national health objectives to reduce preventable disease for our citizens. Nebraska Oral Health Advisory Panel The Nebraska Oral Health Advisory Panel advises the Office of Oral Health on activities to expand oral health care to all Nebraskans. They guide the formation of the Oral Health State Plan, collaborate with the OOH on achieving new funding, and make recommendations on priority topics. Looking for a Dentist?
