Maternal and Infant Health
Purpose Statement: Helping people live better lives by promoting healthy pregnancy and optimal infant health in Nebraska.
Our vision of Maternal Infant Health encompasses a woman's lifespan from preconception through pregnancy, postpartum and inter-conception (the period of time between pregnancies), and the health and development of her children through the first year of life.
We do this by…
  • Delivering evidence-based educational events and resources to health care and community providers in order to advance quality practices in maternal and infant care
  • Providing resources to and for the public on maternal infant health and safety topics
  • Facilitating collaboration and strategic approaches among stakeholders to improve maternal infant health outcomes in Nebraska
