Nebraska Family On-line Client User System (N-FOCUS)


The N-FOCUS application is used to automate benefit/service delivery and case management for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services. N-FOCUS processes include client/case intake, eligibility determination, case management, service authorization, benefit payments, claims processing and payments, and provider contract management. Data is specific to children and families, such as those who have applied for any type of assistance such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Medicaid.

Data Collection Method and Availability

Data are entered by DHHS staff based on interviews, clinical/medical records, law enforcement reports, etc. N-FOCUS started in 1996.
