Mobile Home Parks

Background

A mobile home is a movable or portable dwelling constructed to be towed on its own chassis, connected to utilities, and designed with or without a permanent foundation for year-round living. Facilities shall be provided and properly maintained for the collection and disposal, or treatment and disposal, of sewage from all mobile homes, service buildings, and other facilities.

Type of Data

The data are program level for ongoing surveillance.

Data Collection Method and Availability

Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services staff conduct sanitary inspections annually. Every item on the inspection report is not entered into the database, only written comments. The database is used to verify that one inspection is conducted a year. The data have been collected annually since 1998.
