The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services administers the Medicaid Program which provides health care services to eligible elderly and disabled individuals and eligible low-income pregnant women, children and parents. Information of all persons who eligible for Medicaid or Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) and related medical claims is filed with Nebraska Medicaid.

Data Collection Method and Availability
Eligibility data is received via a daily interface from Nebraska Family On-line Client User System (N-FOCUS) and claims data is based on claims adjudicated within the MMIS. The data have been collected for 10 years. Normally, Medicaid data will not be released to researchers, but funded projects may be reviewed and processed on a case-by-case basis.
