Background
The Integrated Highway Inventory (IHI) database contains information about roadway geometrics, roadway conditions, locations, and classifications. This data is collected to enable the reporting of information to the Federal Highway Administration headquarters office, fulfilling requirements of State Statutes, responding to customer information requests, and performing research and various studies.

The data is a representation of public highways and roads in the State of Nebraska.
Data Collection Method and Availability
Data is collected through roadway construction plans, physical inventories and inspections, review of aerial photography, and surveys of local governmental entities. Some data is collected and updated annually while other data is collected and updated on various schedules and on an as needed basis.
