The Division of Medicaid & Long-Term Care (MLTC) is seeking to transition the delivery of dental services for Medicaid and CHIP eligible individuals to a capitated, Prepaid Ambulatory Health Plan.
The purpose of the Request For Proposal for Contractual Services (RFP) is to solicit proposals from qualified bidders to manage the Medicaid Dental Benefit Program for all eligible Medicaid recipients, utilizing the most cost-effective manner and in accordance with the terms and conditions detailed in the RFP.
MLTC believes oral health is a vital part of an individual’s overall health status. The State anticipates the implementation of a Dental Benefits Manager (DBM) will advance MLTC’s oral health goals.
Managed Care of North America (MCNA), the state’s new Dental Benefits Manager (DBM), begins on October 1, 2017. MCNA will be offering Provider Orientation Sessions around Nebraska to help providers prepare for the new dental program. During these sessions, MCNA will present a program overview and answer provider questions. For those unable to make a session in person, MCNA will also be hosting Online Webinars.
